GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The Marketing Coordinator will help to develop and implement strategic marketing and event planning for Thomson CompuMark's EMEA and AM Regions. Emphasis will be placed on supporting programs and strategies that support the growth of the Thomson CompuMark business globally through public relations and event activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Coordination of all global sponsorships and events with outside personnel and internal staff
    • Working with sales and event hosts to determine what is needed (ie, giveaways, literature, etc)
    • Working with industry partners to ensure appropriate material is sent, and all advertising needs are executed properly
      • Coordinate all payment activities and work to solve any outstanding issues/obstacles in paying vendors appropriately
    • Work with sales to ascertain areas of improvement and current successes of each event
    • Shipment of all materials/tracking/return of all materials
  2. Development and design of material for all global events and sponsorships to include
    • advertisements
    • logos
    • written copy
  3. Webinar coordination with internal staff, clients and webinar vendor
    • Coordinate with speakers and clients for content, scheduling and execution of webinars
    • Ensure that all stakeholders provide the necessary information and are also given the necessary information for coordinated webinars
    • Schedule all times and dates for the planning and execution of webinars
  4. Major global tradeshow support and coordination
    • Logistics for all internal staff
    • Coordination of deadlines, responsibilities and the dissemination of key information to TCM staff
  5. Graphic design for thought leadership activities - to include creating or contributing to landing pages, pdfs, pamphlets, brochures, etc
  6. Work with TCM Marketing Management, work to support IP Solutions and TCM presence at events, sponsorships and to integrate the IP Solutions into thought leadership activities
  7. Coordinate event/sponsorship and tradeshow data collection and tracking to determine successes and areas of improvement for all events
  8. Support global online marketing activity by routing online content, web collateral, copy, design, etc for input and approval. Development of global web copy as it pertains to external event marketing/thought leadership
  9. Coordinate and support global thought leadership activities
    • Support the identification of appropriate content and topics
    • Set up meetings, taking and disseminating meeting minutes and deadlines
    • Help coordinate client partnerships and involvement for thought leadership activities
    • Coordinate with channel marketing team to ensure marketing best practices
    • Gathering story leads
    • Coordinating deadlines and copy
    • Gather and organize data/lead gen metrics for thought leadership content
    • Coordinating edits, review and approval process with stakeholders
    • Supplying final, approved copy - ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. 1-2 years professional experience in event and public relations marketing
  2. Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
  3. Must be detail and process oriented
  4. Excellent understanding of basic marketing and advertising concepts
  5. Able to work with and for global managers and other stakeholders
  6. Confident in working autonomously but with a keen competency and appreciation for collaborating with other team members
  7. Strong analytical skills with an eye on process improvement
  8. Knowledge of basic graphic design skills and excellent understanding of Microsoft Office
  9. Customer orientation is critical
  10. Comfortable with technology and its applications within the marketing industry
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree required. Undergraduate degree in marketing or communications field a plus.
