Position Description
· Develop and implement innovative and culturally relevant literacy curriculum.
· With the help of school administration, identify and recruit 20 program participants.
· Interview and screen referred students.
· Administer standardized reading test twice annually. Conduct student evaluations and create individualized learning plans for participants.
· Maintain contact with parents/guardians of participants.
· Recruit and train tutors and volunteers. Network and maintain relationships with referring schools and organizations. Maintain relationships with JCCA programs to encourage internal referrals.
· Plan and implement fundraising initiatives, supervise the On Target parties, trips and other extracurricular activities.
· Prepare Annual Report for On Target program, maintain annual statistics, attendance, and records on student and tutor activities.
· Prepare and distribute public relations material describing the program and materials to be used principally for sources of volunteer recruitment and student referrals, including the preparation and distribution of the program’s newsletter.
· Assist with other Bukharian Teen Lounge projects as assigned by the Coordinator for Bukharian Teen Services.
