Position Description

Position Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to provide proactive desk support for FIP business users, facilitating the normal operation of day-to-day desk technology related activities and to continually drive refinement of procedures, processes and quality of service.

Key Accountabilities:
* Assist in the planning, execution and implementation of new development, enhancements and upgrades of fixed income technology systems.
* Support customer e-Commerce solutions.
* Provide day-to-day FIPT application support across trading and sales teams.
* Troubleshoot and minimize impact of system outages.
* Train business and technology staff on usage of existing and new technologies.
* Maintain relationships with vendors and internal teams working on fixed income projects / applications.
* Use technology to improve process
* Maintain an issue log to document system issues and solutions.
* Liaise between clients, vendors and in house apps (front office, back office, middle office); escalate problems and make enhancement requests as necessary.
* Analyze and identify areas for improvement, then propose and implement change.

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
* Experience with vendor solutions: Bloomberg (TOMS), Infinity
* OS: Unix, Windows, Citrix
* Familiarity with Market Data Providers and feeds (Reuters, Kobra)
* Knowledge of E-commerce platforms - TradeWeb, Market Axess
* Knowledge of the ION platform
* Knowledge of UNIX and scripting
* Excel with VBA
