Job Brief

As a Distribution Clerk, you will provide customer service as it relates to transportation in and out of the Cheyenne plant. You will be responsible for coordinating with Salt Lake City personnel regarding customer orders.

Starting pay is $23.93

Schedule:

Day shift every other week: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Night shift every other week: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Monday - Friday)

Some on call as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Distribution Clerk, you will provide customer service as it relates to transportation in and out of the Cheyenne plant. You will be responsible for coordinating with Salt Lake City personnel regarding customer orders. This position is a great opportunity to learn new skills and be mentored to progress into other positions in the distribution department. Other duties include:

  • Responsible for scheduling load times for a variety of chemicals and chemical solutions such as: Prilled Ammonia Nitrate, Ammonia Nitrate Solution, Diesel Exhaust Fluid, andAmmoniatrucks.
  • Scale trucks in and out; enter shipments into SAP
  • Answering and directing the switch board, and responsible for answering the distribution phone lines.
  • Maintain the scales by weighing incoming and outgoing truck traffic and recording it in the appropriate logbook; then accurately enter these shipments into SAP system.
  • Print created customer orders and coordinate with Salt Lake personnel regarding keeping daily outgoing product orders requested and stocked.
  • Schedule appropriate load times for orders and communicating with the carriers for any changes involving their loads or situations with the plant. (i.e. AN Prill, ANSOL, DEF, CHEM Emulsion, and incoming/outgoing NH3 Truck shipments)
  • Enter daily Emulsion plant shipments into SAP and maintain order shipment files for Emulsion plant.
  • Maintain sub-computer system with appropriate driver information and assist drivers as needed.
  • Train the guards efficiently on maintaining incoming and outgoing truck traffic and answering the distribution phone lines. Communicate any changes to the basic duties that as they occur.
  • Assist Corporate Customer Service and the Logistics Coordinator when requested.
  • Develop the knowledge and skills to complete railcar receiving, shipping, providing the required customer notifications and maintaining railcar documentation to assist the Logistics Coordinator when need.
  • Maintain good communication network with all personnel to ensure department functions at highest level of proficiency.

What We're Looking For:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service; including general office duties to include strong computer data entry and telephone skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills to include MS Suite and Outlook.
  • Must be willing and eligible to obtain a TWIC Card
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
