**The Details**

Position Title: Dispatcher/ Administrative Assistant

  • Schedule: Full-Time positions M-F 9:30am-6pm
  • Salary: $21.50/HR
  • Location: Oakland Kaiser (hybrid between 2 different departments, the shuttle department, and the parking department.)

Responsibilities:

For the Shuttle Department:

  • Observe and report driver activity using a vehicle GSP tracking app.
  • Answer phone calls from customers to help with
    • Complaints
    • Shuttle schedule.
    • Special event ride scheduling
    • Flex picks up scheduling.
  • Using a 2-way radio to communicate with the shuttle drivers throughout the day.
  • Create (revise if needed) daily driver break/lunch schedule.
  • Retrieve and catalog (data entry) daily material.
    • Driver time logs
    • Fueling receipts
    • Vehicle inspection reports

For the Parking Department:

  • Help customers with the application process for monthly paid parking.
  • Parking customers customer service in person and on phone.
  • Using multiple computer programs to help organize, approve, and deny monthly parking applications.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years in an administrative support role is required.
  • Data entry experience is required.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehends the English language.
  • Bi-lingual abilities are preferred but not required.
  • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Demonstrates the ability to seek improvement.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
