Internship

Overview: Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Business Management Intern for our location in Plainville, CT. Intern/Co-Op will contribute to a fast-paced growing team in the Procurement/Offices/Facilities department and will perform tasks independently while working closely with individual team members to ensure that objectives are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cost analyses and summarize findings and conclusions, based on large amounts of data.
  • Participate in team and client discussions and ensure key takeaways are captured.
  • Prepare benchmarking studies on specific topics.
  • Assist in managing procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases.
  • Manage project logistics and support the Manager in the day-to-day organization of meetings.
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with project needs and company objectives.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors under the guidance of senior procurement managers.
  • Contribute to analyzing market trends, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to support informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • A Junior, Senior or Graduate student majoring in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Management or Strategy (or related field).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications: Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized and structured.
  • Logical and lateral thinker.
  • Strongly motivated to perform, learn and improve.
  • Proactively takes the initiative beyond the tasks assigned and is resourceful.
  • Team player, open-minded, possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • A mature demeanor and positive attitude, as well as discretion and sensitivity when dealing with clients.
