The Acupuncturist provides acupuncture therapy services to patients in an outpatient setting. Primary areas of focus for acupuncturist includes alleviation of stress and anxiety associated with illness and treatment as well as other side effects such as nausea and pain.

This position reports to the Senior Administrative Manager and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

• Current and valid Massachusetts Acupuncturist license
• Successful completion of accredited acupuncture school
• Must carry professional liability insurance
• Minimum of three years experience practicing acupuncture
• Complete specialized training for acupuncture and patients with cancer within one year of hire
• Demonstrated knowledge of acupuncture theory, anatomy and physiology
• Demonstrated ability to make appropriate judgments of the patient to provide safe acupuncture.
• Experience providing acupuncture in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, community health center, pain clinic or other integrative health care setting preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served on assigned units
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse population
