Accountable for the safe, effective and efficient production operations. You will be responsible for providing leadership through direction, support and guidance regarding all activities to meet production requirements.

What You'll Do

As a Manufacturing Supervisor, you will be accountable for the safe, effective and efficient production operations. You will be responsible for providing leadership through direction, support and guidance regarding all activities to meet production requirements. Other duties include:

  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety, such as Safe Act Observations and Audits
  • Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives and regulations
  • Live and foster the IPL Corporate Values
  • Align with the Business Improvement strategy, identify and implement framework and strategy to reduce waste and improve quality, productivity and safety performance within the assigned departments.
  • Provide leadership through direction, support and guidance regarding all activities to meet production requirements
  • Managing, motivating and developing employees
  • Track KPIs for the department
  • Facilitate problem solving
  • Direct and coordinate operation resources to ensure customer demands are met
  • Foster alignment to manufacturing strategies such as cost reductions, productivity improvements, organizational development, and safety performance to meet corporate business strategies.
  • Participate in Incident investigations, regulatory inspections and audits and close all related actions items.
  • Responsibility for coordinating and leading daily manufacturing team which includes but not limited to reporting, coaching, planning and administrative coordination of resources.
  • The shift for this position is Monday - Friday 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM, working an occasional 1st shift.

What We're Looking For:

  • High School diploma - Associates and / or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of related technical experience required.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Managing an extrusion operation would be beneficial
  • Ability to understand Safety, Quality, Capacity and Continuous Improvement aspects of all processes within the assigned department
  • Knowledge of and the ability to troubleshoot issues in all of the various processes associated within assigned department
  • Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
