Overview: Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our expanding structural team. This role provides structural engineering design and construction phase support on a range of projects. The candidate’s work will include computer modeling of building foundation and superstructure systems, design of structural elements, preparation of structural drawings, and construction administration tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Application of standard engineering design principles and sound engineering judgment to accomplish work assignments.
  • Computer modeling of building foundation and superstructure systems.
  • Design of structural elements.
  • Preparation of structural drawings and specifications.
  • Construction administration tasks.
  • The candidate will keep clear records of all design calculations and work product.
Requirements:
  • 5 to 10 years of progressive structural engineering experience. Professional license a plus, but not required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Structural or Civil Engineering. Master of Science degree a plus.
  • Knowledge of concrete, steel, and masonry design codes, as well as local and national building codes a plus.
  • Ability to work in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal, problem solving, and team skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, walking, hiking, and standing.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
  • Mobility control of hands to setup equipment, handle samples, and operate tools.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
