As an EOEM Application Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving alliances with existing and potential customers, with a primary focus on integrating ABB's digital technology, automatic transfer switches and switchboard bus stacks into EOEM's designs. You will be accountable for understanding customer needs, providing technical solutions, and fostering strong relationships to ensure the successful integration and utilization of ABB products.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Act as a liaison between ABB and customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges
  • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge in digital technologies, automatic transfer switches and switchboard bus stack integration
  • Provide expert advice and support to customers on product specifications, configurations, and application-related inquiries
  • Collaborate with customers to integrate our products seamlessly into their systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
  • Work closely with engineering teams to address customer-specific integration needs and provide customized solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement strategies to expand our presence in the market
  • Conduct training sessions for customers and internal teams on product features, integration techniques, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Provide ongoing technical support to customers, ensuring a positive experience with our products
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on market insights and customer feedback
  • Travel up to 25%
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 12 years experience required
  • Proven experience in a technical sales or application engineering role, preferably in the electrical industry
  • In-depth knowledge of digital technology, automatic transfer switches, and UL891 switchboards
  • Experience with electric power distribution systems
  • Experience with commercial and industrial markets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a customer-centric approach
  • Your competencies profile should include: Attention and focus on customers and stakeholders, results-oriented, market driven thinking, teamwork, systemic thinking, and creativity & innovation
  • Experience with MS Office required
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States
