Position Summary:
The General Foreman is responsible for providing oversight, guidance, and support to all hourly Team Members in the Self Perform Group and coordinating with project management, pre-construction team and clients.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide oversight, guidance, support, and leadership to TMs in the planning and execution of all work.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations, supporting plans/policies to achieve corporate objectives and maximize operating results.
- Develop and maintain inter-department collaboration, ensuring all Electrical team members are supportive and mindful of a unified performance objective.
- Initiate continuous improvement objectives and embrace technology enhancements.
- Promote, foster, and maintain open communication for all TMs, consultants, inspectors, applicable agencies, and supporting subcontractors and trade participants.
- Maintain all Corporate Standards with applicable Project Control requirements to ensure financial and administrative responsibility, in conjunction with risk management.
- Qualifications, clarifications, and conditions in support of project proposals.
- Work with Asset Manager & Repair Technician to monitor the care of corporate assets and evaluate new requests.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all hourly TMs in the deployment of all work activities.
- Adherence to Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Policies and Best-Practices in the deployment of all work activities.
- Participate in incident investigation and reviews, lessons learned / root cause sessions, operational development initiatives, and best practice training to support a continuous improvement working philosophy.
