Mechanical General Foreman

Position Summary:
The General Foreman is responsible for providing oversight, guidance, and support to all hourly Team Members in the Self Perform Group and coordinating with project management, pre-construction team and clients.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, guidance, support, and leadership to TMs in the planning and execution of all work.
  • Assist with the day-to-day operations, supporting plans/policies to achieve corporate objectives and maximize operating results.
  • Develop and maintain inter-department collaboration, ensuring all Electrical team members are supportive and mindful of a unified performance objective.
  • Initiate continuous improvement objectives and embrace technology enhancements.
  • Promote, foster, and maintain open communication for all TMs, consultants, inspectors, applicable agencies, and supporting subcontractors and trade participants.
  • Maintain all Corporate Standards with applicable Project Control requirements to ensure financial and administrative responsibility, in conjunction with risk management.
  • Qualifications, clarifications, and conditions in support of project proposals.
  • Work with Asset Manager & Repair Technician to monitor the care of corporate assets and evaluate new requests.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all hourly TMs in the deployment of all work activities.
  • Adherence to Corporate Environmental, Health and Safety Policies and Best-Practices in the deployment of all work activities.
  • Participate in incident investigation and reviews, lessons learned / root cause sessions, operational development initiatives, and best practice training to support a continuous improvement working philosophy.
Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Strict adherence to all safety rules and quality
  • Interact with all co-workers and clients in an attentive courteous manner
  • At times may perform clerical/administrative duties
  • Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in industrial construction.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Be highly focused on customer satisfaction expectations.
  • Good documentation and record keeping.
  • Proficient use of computers and iPad/Laptop, MS Office, ProCore
  • Competency in Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E), Permit Required Confined Space.
  • Understanding and development of daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
  • Maintain a willingness to reinvest in yourself with continuing education and professional development initiatives (i.e., industry related technology advancements, technology certifications).

  • High School Diploma
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • OSHA 30
