Position Details:

2nd Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm Mon-Thurs + 12% Differential

3rd Shift 11:00pm-7:00am Mon-Thurs + 17% Differential

Your Expertise:

  • 2-5 years of experience machining in an aerospace environment
  • Experience in machining plasma coatings and K/E seals on rotating aircraft parts
  • Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of GD&T
  • Familiar with Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Willing to learn basic CNC Programming

Your Challenge:

  • Set-up and operate NC VTL machines for pre-machining and finish machining for required operations or the repair of aircraft parts.
  • Work from process traveler, blueprints, parts drawings, manuals, specifications, operations sheets and verbal directions to determine proper dimensions and tolerances of finished part, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements for machining functions
  • Verify dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gage, height gage, and vernier
  • Work with engineering department regarding material conditions, best positioning of part, tool pressure, etc. as required

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

This position is a safety sensitive position. Applicant must comply with all applicable FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules.
